I’m bored at home today. I was supposed to go away but it decided to rain all weekend long. So I stumbled across XAMPP. I can install Apache, MySQL, PHP + PEAR, Perl, mod_php, mod_perl, mod_ssl, OpenSSL, phpMyAdmin, Webalizer, Mercury Mail Transport System for Win32 and NetWare Systems v3.32, JpGraph, FileZilla FTP Server, mcrypt, eAccelerator, SQLite, and WEB-DAV + mod_auth_mysql all by unzipping a file.
Going to give it a try today. I’ll report later about it.
There have been hacks for a while now to allow people to install the Windows Vista sidebar by assembling files from various sources but I just stumbled across a single executable package that MSTN put together.
